Cloud Migration

End-to-end migration of on-premise workloads and legacy cloud environments to AWS me-south-1 Bahrain — following the AWS Migration Acceleration Program methodology with zero data loss and a validated cutover plan.

Overview

What is Cloud Migration?

End-to-end migration of on-premise workloads and legacy cloud environments to AWS me-south-1 Bahrain — following the AWS Migration Acceleration Program methodology with zero data loss and a validated cutover plan. Our team brings production-grade expertise to every engagement, ensuring your cloud migration implementation delivers measurable business outcomes from day one. We architect, build, and maintain solutions that scale with your organisation and satisfy GCC regulatory requirements.

What's included

AWS MAP-aligned migration: discover, mobilise, and migrate phases
Application dependency mapping and migration wave planning
Lift-and-shift, re-platform, and re-architecture migration strategies
Data migration with parallel validation and reconciliation before cutover
Network connectivity: Direct Connect or Site-to-Site VPN during transition
Post-migration performance validation and Well-Architected review
Key Benefits

Why It Matters

The measurable outcomes our clients achieve with Cloud Migration.

GCC Data Residency Compliance

AWS me-south-1 Bahrain keeps your data inside the GCC, satisfying PDPL, NCA ECC, and SAMA data localisation requirements.

30–50% Infrastructure Cost Reduction

Cloud elasticity, Reserved Instances, and right-sized compute replace idle on-premise capacity with pay-as-you-use economics.

Modernised Operations

Managed services eliminate OS patching, hardware maintenance, and capacity planning — freeing your team for higher-value work.

Zero Business Disruption

Validated parallel-run cutover plans and instant rollback capability ensure migration risk is contained and manageable.

Delivery Lifecycle

How We Deliver

A structured, transparent process from kick-off to launch and beyond.

1
Discovery2–3 weeks

Discovery & Dependency Mapping

Inventory all on-premise assets, map application dependencies, and classify workloads by migration strategy across all systems.

2
Planning1–2 weeks

Migration Strategy & Wave Planning

Design migration waves in dependency order, model TCO and cost savings, and produce a signed-off MAP-aligned migration plan.

3
Architecture2 weeks

Landing Zone & Network Setup

Deploy AWS Control Tower landing zone, configure Direct Connect or VPN, and validate network connectivity before any workload moves.

4
Build3–12 months

Pilot & Wave-Based Migration

Execute migration waves in dependency order with parallel validation — running new and old in parallel before each cutover.

5
QA & Security2–4 weeks

Data Validation & Security Hardening

Validate data integrity with reconciliation queries, run AWS Security Hub scan, and configure NCA ECC compliance controls.

6
Launch & ScaleOngoing

Post-Migration Optimisation & Decommission

Right-size instances, purchase Reserved Instances, run Well-Architected Review, and decommission legacy infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Cloud Migration.

Small environments (< 50 servers) typically migrate in 3–6 months. Mid-size environments (50–200 servers) take 6–12 months. Large enterprise data centres may take 12–24+ months. We phase migrations so you see value from moved workloads within the first 8 weeks.

AWS MAP is a structured migration methodology with three phases: Assess (business case and portfolio analysis), Mobilise (landing zone and pilot), and Migrate (production wave migrations). It comes with AWS funding credits for qualifying migrations. We are MAP-certified partners and can help you qualify for credits.

We run AWS Database Migration Service with continuous replication to sync data to the AWS target in real time before cutover. The cutover window is just the time to switch DNS or application endpoints — not a data transfer window. We run reconciliation queries comparing row counts and checksums before and after cutover.

Yes — this is our standard deployment target for GCC customers. AWS me-south-1 Bahrain is the only AWS region with physical infrastructure inside the GCC, providing data residency for Saudi PDPL and NCA ECC. We design the architecture to keep all data in Bahrain from day one.

We always have a validated rollback plan: DNS TTLs are lowered before cutover so re-pointing to the old environment takes effect quickly, data replication runs in reverse, and the old environment remains live during a validation window. We never decommission the source until the migrated workload has operated stably for a defined period (typically 30 days).
